Hydration, delivered where it actually works

IV hydration puts fluids directly into the bloodstream — faster and more efficient than drinking water, which mostly gets absorbed before it ever reaches circulation. That's why it works so well for athletes needing faster recovery, people wanting relief from a rough night, and anyone looking for an energy or immunity boost.

It's becoming a routine wellness visit — no different from a massage after a hard workout. Patients aren't waiting until they're sick to want it.

Why nurses win here

It's not just that you know how to start an IV — it's that you already have the network. Contacts, resources, and nurse friends who become your first referral base.

Low cost of entry

The cost of supplies is low relative to the price of services — one of the few businesses where the margin genuinely works in your favor from day one.

— the problem

The concept is simple. It's the execution that needs support.

GETTING STARTED

Know the Rules

IV hydration is largely unregulated, which means there's no simple standard to look up. You need to know how to implement best practices as they evolve, state by state.

WHERE DO YOU START

Know the Setup

Formulas, vendors, suppliers, insurers, legal help, medical directors. Do you know everyone involved, or are you starting from zero?

IT'S YOUR LICENSE

Don't Compromise It

Getting this wrong doesn't just cost you money — it puts the license you worked for at risk.

Catie Harris
Founder & CEO, NursePreneurs

I tried this in 2013. It never launched.

I actually started an IV hydration business back in 2013 — long before the current wave. I built the website, ordered the brochures, bought the supplies. I spent thousands of dollars piecing it together myself.

And then nothing happened. I got stuck on the questions nobody was answering for me: Am I even allowed to do this? Did I set it up correctly? What actually goes into the formulas? I didn't have a support system, anyone to ask, or a real guide. That clinic never launched.

Fast forward to 2019, and the demand for IV hydration had completely changed. Nurses were asking me to teach them. So I went back and actually solved the problem I'd had in 2013 — partnered with successful IV hydration nurses, lawyers, doctors, and marketers to figure out what actually makes this work.

This course is the result. Some of our students are now on their third location.

Who this is for — and who it isn't

This is for you if —

  • You want a straightforward, high-demand service you can launch relatively fast

  • You're willing to do the setup work — medical director, vendors, documentation — not just the clinical part

  • You want a real system instead of piecing it together alone

This isn't for you if —

  • You're not eligible to own or operate this type of business in your state

  • You're looking to skip the medical director relationship entirely

  • You expect zero setup work or cost beyond the course itself

— Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a medical director?

Yes — with one exception: if you're an MD or an NP with independent practice authority in your state, you may be able to serve as your own medical director. Everyone else needs one. Matchmaking with our vetted medical director partners is free; their fee typically starts around $750/month.

Does the physician need to own my business?

In most states, corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) laws prevent directly hiring a physician — the usual workaround is the physician forming a professional corporation you contract with for services.

Is the industry saturated?

Some cities (Vegas, NYC, Miami, LA) have multiple IV hydration businesses, but there's still real room for niche-specific clinics — sports recovery, high-dose vitamin C for oncology patients, migraine relief, prenatal hyperemesis. A clear niche matters more in competitive markets.

What are the start-up costs?

Beyond the course itself: supplies, marketing, and a medical director (~$750/month), plus professional liability and general business insurance, a legal entity, and a patient tracking system. Plan on roughly $5,000–$10,000 in available cash or credit to cover early costs, including attorney fees (typically $2,000–$5,000).

Who can legally start an IV hydration business?

This is genuinely state-specific — some states have few restrictions, others require specific corporate structures. If you don't personally qualify to own the business, partnering with a medical director or an existing IV hydration nurse is a common workaround.

Do I need a certification to run this business?

No formal certification exists for IV hydration specifically. You'll receive a certificate of completion — what actually matters is knowing your state's rules well enough to protect your license.

How long do I have access?

Lifetime access to the course and materials.

How long until I make money?

Depends entirely on you. With materials submitted promptly, some students are running in 3–4 weeks; most take about 90 days.

What's your refund policy?

No refunds, given the significant upfront investment made in each student.
