Georgia Skyers is a Nurse Executive with over 23 years of experience in nursing. She has seen and dealt with some of the biggest issues in healthcare. Having a long history of being praised for successfully running units in the hospital, Georgia started helping other managers and executives to understand how to lead using her system.
Today she is dedicated to developing high quality, resilient nurse leaders who are ready to step into leadership roles.
Georgia believes that nurse managers hold the cards for changing delivery of healthcare inside the hospital system. Unfortunately very little time or attention has been provided to nurturing leadership skills in our nurse management teams, despite the fact, they are consistently the source of solutions for everything that seems to go wrong!
Georgia is on a journey to develop and support nurses in leadership roles, shift the culture so nurses see themselves as change agents in healthcare settings and to encourage nurses to take up roles in management.
