Confidence Leads to Clarity – The Empowered Nurse
In a recent chat with nurse entrepreneur Lacey Magen, I was left to ponder the importance of clarity and confidence. As a nurse mentor, Lacey helps new nurses address their careers and learn how to deal with the ups and downs that come with nursing through mentorship programs with The Empowered Nurse.
Holding true to the ideals that confidence leads to clarity, Lacey empowers new nurses to seek confidence and find clarity in their career. This concept rings true for entrepreneurs as well.
Once you feel comfortable and confident in your career, you can push forward with clarity and understand what path, or niche suits you best. In fact, after trial and error, Lacey gained confidence and realized that teaching wasn’t her passion, which catapulted her into a nursing career.
My question for you is, have you found clarity in your career path?
Let’s start with the basic, what is clarity?
- Clarity- Clarity is the self-assurance that’s born from the confidence you have in your own abilities and qualities.
Does that sound like you? Or are you still grasping for confidence?
Many new entrepreneurs are still searching for confidence. It’s scary getting out there on your own and having to rely on your talents and abilities. Here are a few practical ways that you can lead with confidence in your career:
- Get rid of negative language, including “I can’t” statements
- Dress for success
- Emulate confidence, even if you don’t feel it
- Set practical and achievable goals
- View failure as an opportunity for growth
- Leave your comfort zone
- Focus on your areas of strength
- Expand your skillset
- Get professional help through mentorship
Once you get out of your own way and lead with confidence, you can find the clarity that you need to establish your career and find success as an entrepreneur.
